Quran Manuscripts on Display in Morocco’s Casablanca

IQNA – A number of Quran and Islamic manuscripts have been put on show in an Islamic culture exhibition in Casablanca, Morocco.

People of Casablanca have warmly received the expo, titled Jusur (bridges), according to al-Yawm daily.

It has been rganized by the ministry of Islamic affairs, Dawah and guidance in cooperation with the Awqaf (endowments) ministry. 

The exhibition includes manuscript copies of the Holy Quran and books on Islamic sciences.

They have been borrowed from a number of libraries and the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex in Saudi Arabia.

Two of the Qurans date back to the 18th and 19th centuries while a copy of the book Mafatih al-Malum put on display at the event dates back to 1230 AD.

The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is hosting the exhibition.
